LAUREN PERRY

I feel as though this blog is written very well. The letter is written in a very casual tone that allows the reader to identify the relationship between the writer (Lauren) and Meg. Lauren has done this incredibly well. The topics discussed within the letter including Daise's death, the blossoming relationship between Meg and Lum, and the mention of Meg's Mother all insert the writer directly into the pre-existing story; Patrick Whites' 1964 'Down at the Dump.'

To add to this very personalised and heartfelt letter, the inclusion of the line "...feel free to respond with anything you need.." implies a continuation in the story; almost as though this letter is the beginning of a new adventure between Meg and Lauren.

I thoroughly enjoyed this blog. Well Done!
